Make a useful first introduction

Give people a reason to join the conversation.

A professional invitation should explain who will benefit, how the gathering works, and what the fee includes. Keep the registration short enough to complete between meetings.

  • Set expectations

Describe the audience, the format, and any short presentation. Tell guests whether introductions are structured or informal, and what time to arrive.

  • Plan from the attendee count

Use people rather than booking records to plan seats and catering. Ask for dietary needs only when the venue can act on the answers.

  • Share the organizing work

An Organization account gives a team shared management and contacts for an ongoing association program. Use recurring events for repeat gatherings, with details reviewed for each date.

Payments

Breakfast, registration, and payment together

The starter includes an editable $25 fee per attendee. Review the catering cost and room limit, connect the receiving Stripe account, and check the guest total before publishing.

Available on Free and Organization. Complete Stripe setup with an eligible US account to collect payments in US dollars. Organizers pay Stripe processing fees plus Signup Bubble’s 1% fee, with a $0.25 minimum and a $0.75 maximum per checkout.

  1. 1

    Choose the receiving workspace

Use Personal for an event you manage yourself, or your Organization for a shared event and payment connection. Complete Stripe setup for that workspace. The starter opens free; add payment settings when you are ready to collect.

  2. 2

    Make the invitation specific

Set the date, arrival time, venue, and timezone. Explain who the event is for, what breakfast includes, and whether there is a speaker or introductions. Add a dietary question if you will use the answers.

  3. 3

    Review the fee and headcount

The example uses a $25 event fee per attendee, group signups, and an overall limit of 40. Adjust those values together. Attendee names are hidden publicly; there are no signup slots.

  4. 4

    Check, save, and publish

Review the collecting name, contact email, refund information, and guest preview. Create your draft, then publish when ready. Share the public link with your professional community.

Beyond the signup list

A small plan for a smoother day.

Use these example notes to think through the work before, during, and after your event.

  1. Before sharing

    Confirm the room and menu

Check the venue's capacity and what the fee covers. Publish the meeting point and a useful contact email alongside the registration.

  2. Before the event

    Review payments and headcount

Distinguish confirmed guests from unresolved checkouts before giving final numbers to the caterer. Share arrival details through your event communications.

  3. After the gathering

    Make the next invitation useful

Send an appropriate follow-up and prepare the next event. A previous booking does not automatically register or charge someone for another breakfast.

A few practical questions

Before you share your signup

Can I use this for an evening mixer?
Yes. Change the title, timing, location, and what the fee covers. It works for one shared gathering, including a networking lunch, association breakfast, or after-work mixer.
Can one person pay for colleagues?
Yes. With group signups enabled, they include themselves in the total party size and pay the event fee for each attendee. This records a group booking; use separate registrations when you need an individual response from each colleague.
Do I need a paid Organization account to collect fees?
No. Payment collection is available on Free with an eligible US Stripe account and payments in US dollars. Organization is useful when several people manage events, share contacts, or run a recurring program. Transaction fees still apply.
Does paying confirm the reservation?
A required paid signup is confirmed after payment succeeds. Checkout can temporarily hold places. Check payment and signup status together; closing a checkout browser tab is not the same as cancelling a reservation.
Can I have different member and nonmember prices?
This example has one event fee per attendee. It does not apply membership discounts automatically. If you need clearly different bookable options, review a slot-based setup and explain who each option is for.
