One clear invitation per household

Make the fee easy to explain around the family table.

People should understand both what they are paying for and who their booking includes. A short instruction saves the organizer from matching several payments to the same family.

  • Define the booking

Say who counts as one household and whether relatives arriving separately should still register together. The organizer supplies this rule.

  • Plan the shared space

Use the attendee count for chairs, food, and access needs. Use payment records to track the agreed contributions.

  • Coordinate repeat gatherings

An Organization workspace can help a continuing association share management and contacts. A one-off family organizer can collect on Free.

Payments

One household fee, with a useful headcount

Per-signup pricing keeps the agreed household cost steady while party size tells you how many people are coming. Use separate bookings only when you intend a separate charge.

Available on Free and Organization. Complete Stripe setup with an eligible US account to collect payments in US dollars. Organizers pay Stripe processing fees plus Signup Bubble’s 1% fee, with a $0.25 minimum and a $0.75 maximum per checkout.

  1. 1

    Agree on the shared cost

Confirm what the $40 covers and who should make each booking. Choose the receiving workspace and complete Stripe setup before enabling payments. Your event draft starts free.

  2. 2

    Keep pricing and counting separate

Leave the fee basis as per signup and group signups on. Add a venue-wide attendee limit if needed; it limits people without multiplying the household fee.

  3. 3

    Make the gathering practical

Add the actual date, park or venue, arrival time, parking, accessibility, and food arrangements. Explain whether children and accompanying adults belong in the total party size.

  4. 4

    Review and invite households

Check collecting and refund details, then save and preview. Ask one person in each household to register everyone together before sharing the published link.

Beyond the signup list

A small plan for a smoother day.

Use these example notes to think through the work before, during, and after your event.

  1. Before sharing

    Agree on the household rule

Confirm the budget and explain who should book together. Add a room limit if the venue requires one.

  2. Before the gathering

    Reconcile people and bookings

Review the total party count for catering and confirmed payments for the shared budget. Resolve duplicate household bookings directly.

  3. After the gathering

    Explain any remaining costs

Share an appropriate spending update. A payment for this gathering does not enroll or charge the family for another event.

A little more help

The next question, answered.

A few practical questions

Before you share your signup

Will adding children increase the fee?
Not with this payment setup. The example $40 is per booking. Include everyone who should count toward attendance, and explain your household rule in the invitation.
Can I charge adults and children different prices?
This setup does not have age-based ticket tiers. It uses one fixed household fee. For clearly different bookable options, review a slot-based setup and describe its rules carefully.
Can I collect money without asking for an RSVP?
Yes. Use a collection page if you only need the shared payment. This template is appropriate when you also need to know how many people are attending.
Can someone pay twice by mistake?
The page does not enforce one payment per household. Ask each household to coordinate its booking, and review payment records when resolving a duplicate.
Do I need a paid plan to collect payments?
No. Payments are available on Free and Organization with an eligible US Stripe account and US-dollar payments. Complete Stripe setup for the personal or Organization workspace receiving the money. Transaction fees apply. Organization is useful when colleagues share management, contacts, and an ongoing program.
