A little preparation helps

Start with the question the learner wants to answer.

A topic prompt makes an appointment more useful without turning the signup into a lengthy intake form. Pair it with straightforward joining instructions and a clear expectation about the session length.

  • Ask for useful context

Request the subject and chapter or skill to work on. Leave sensitive personal or educational records for your usual private process.

  • Protect preparation time

The ten-minute gaps are intentional. If you add appointments, review their actual timestamps rather than relying on labels.

  • Coordinate a tutoring team

An Organization account supports shared management and contacts. Separate schedules or clearly named slots help explain which tutor provides each appointment.

Payments

A reserved appointment and its fee in one place

Give every tutoring time its own capacity and price. Explain what the session covers and how changes are handled before a learner starts checkout.

Available on Free and Organization. Complete Stripe setup with an eligible US account to collect payments in US dollars. Organizers pay Stripe processing fees plus Signup Bubble’s 1% fee, with a $0.25 minimum and a $0.75 maximum per checkout.

  1. 1

Choose the tutor and receiving workspace

Complete Stripe setup for the account receiving the fees. Confirm the tutoring subject, experience level, duration, and actual availability.

  2. 2

Apply and review the appointment date

Choose the first day and apply the starter times: 3:00, 3:40, and 4:20 PM. Check every start and end time against your own calendar and timezone.

  3. 3

    Keep the booking individual

Each slot has capacity one, a $30 fee, and one selection per signup. Public names are hidden. The comment asks for the subject and topic, not sensitive records.

  4. 4

    Explain joining and changes

Add room or video instructions, materials, contact details, and cancellation/refund information. Save, preview, and publish only the times you can actually offer.

Beyond the signup list

A small plan for a smoother day.

Use these example notes to think through the work before, during, and after your event.

  1. Before sharing

    Check actual availability

Compare the published times with your other commitments. Keep preparation gaps and remove times you cannot offer.

  2. Before the appointment

    Review the learning topic

Check the confirmed reservation and payment, prepare relevant materials, and confirm how the learner will join.

  3. After the appointment

    Handle the next step separately

Share any agreed follow-up. A paid appointment does not automatically book or charge the learner for another session.

A few practical questions

Before you share your signup

Does this synchronize with my calendar?
This starter reserves slots on the signup page. It does not check other events or your personal calendar for conflicts. Review your availability before publishing.
Can each appointment have a different price?
Yes. Each slot has its own fee. If duration or preparation differs, update the actual start and end times as well as the price and label.
Can a parent book on a learner's behalf?
Explain whose name and contact details you need in the description. Keep any guardian permissions and detailed learner intake in your existing process rather than treating payment as consent.
Does refunding always reopen the appointment?
Refund only keeps the signup. Refund and cancel signup releases the place after the refund succeeds. Choose the appropriate action from payment management.
Do I need a paid plan to collect payments?
No. Payments are available on Free and Organization with an eligible US Stripe account and US-dollar payments. Complete Stripe setup for the personal or Organization workspace receiving the money. Transaction fees apply. Organization is useful when colleagues share management, contacts, and an ongoing program.
